Lentil meatballs and tomato sauce - Recipe


Ingredients

For lentils (75g raw or 200g cooked), ¼ small onions, 50g raw pumpkin, salt, curry, cumin, parsley, garlic powder

For the sauce

5 tomatoes, 2 chili peppers-if you like-, 1  finely chopped white onion, 1 bunch of coriander, 1 lemon juice, 500 ml water, salt


Instructions

Meatballs

Step 1. Soak the lentils  for a few hours. 
Step 2. Pour  into a saucepan and bring to a boil in boiling water. 
Step 3. Drain the water with a colander. 
Step 4. Finely diced the pumpkin.
Step 5. Place the pumpkin and  onions in a saucepan with a small amount of oil. 
Step 6. Add  spices: salt, curry, cumin, garlic, parsley. 
Step 7. Mix the lentils with the rest of the ingredients. 
Step 8. Crush the ingredients with a wooden spoon to make the dough. 
Step 9. Remove the dough and let it cool in the refrigerator for 4 hours. 
Step 10. Form the dough into balls by hand. 
Step 11. Bake the meatballs at a temperature of 180 ° C for 20 minutes.

Sauce

Step 1. Cut  peppers, onions and tomatoes and pour  into a jar. 
Step 2. Add a little salt, coriander, lemon juice and water. 
Step 3. Mix the ingredients and pour the sauce over the meatballs.
